We meet weekly on Tuesdays at the Cropredy Sports Pavilion from 10am until 3pm. The volunteers and special guests lay on a range of activities including:
We can take up to 12 members and will support you if required to enjoy the group, so don’t be concerned if you struggle with memory or have disabilities or other ailments. We can also arrange for transport to and from the pavilion using our friendly network of volunteer drivers.
ClusterCare can provide a valuable break for the member's carer and time for them to catch up on other things.
We normally provide a freshly cooked 2-course hot meal for lunch. Tea and coffee is available, and we usually provide home-baked cakes to take home. For Christmas, we invite the local school to attend to help with carol singing. We also celebrate with a special Christmas lunch which includes all our volunteers and drivers.
A Typical Day:
Members should come from in and around the cluster of villages north of Banbury, including:
Most sessions are held at the Sports pavilion in Cropredy, which has full disabled access.
ClusterCare accepts older persons of any class, creed, colour or background, who need some care or support for a physical or emotional problem, or would benefit from socialising in a like-minded group. We aim to provide members with a warm and happy family atmosphere with stimulation to suit the individual.
We recognise individual social, physical and psychological needs, valuing and respecting each person and preserving their dignity, and aim to improve members’ well-being, by helping to motivate, educate and care for their changing needs.
We believe in asking our members for their views, so that we can help to develop a service that meets the needs of our members and their interests.
Potential members will be assessed to make sure that they are able to join in some or all of the activities and to determine what level of support they may require. We encourage people to be independent, and members have a choice of making their own way to the pavilion or, we can arrange to use the service of our volunteer drivers.
To help cover some of the costs, we make a small charge, but this includes a freshly cooked lunch, tea, coffee and cakes as well as all the entertainment on offer and a raffle.
If you think that you might like to join, or have a questions, then please contact our co-ordinator Mo.
